Persistent Links/Permalinks: ProQuest

How to create a stable link from library resources

Permalinks in ProQuest

If you have located an item in a ProQuest database that you want to share:

1. Click on Abstract/Details.

  • You can find this link in the search results or in the article record view.

2. Find the Document URL. This is the term that ProQuest uses for the permalink.

  • ProQuest databases generate a proxied permalink so this link is ready to share without any additional steps.

Step 1

On the ProQuest Result page, click on Abstract/Details indicated with the green box at the bottom of the record result

Step 2

On the Abstract/Details tab, scroll down to find the Document URL. This is what you would copy for the permalink.
