Welcome Fall 2024 Faculty: Instruction Sessions and Embedded Librarians

What is Library Instruction

Request Library Instruction

Library instruction sessions are designed to support students’ research needs.

  • Customized focus on preferred resources or built around a specific objective.
  • Engaged, student-centered learning.
  • Individual librarians or librarian teams available.
  • Instruction is available in the library, in the classroom, or online.

For Fall 2023, Odum librarians can meet with your classes face-to-face or online. Online instruction sessions can be seamlessly linked in BlazeVIEW, and are engaging and interactive. They can also be created for asynchronous or hybrid classes. In-person sessions can be scheduled for your classroom or one of the library's lab spaces.

Embedded Librarians

Request a librarian for your BlazeVIEW or GoVIEW classes

An embedded librarian is a librarian dedicated to specific courses who can field students’ questions directly through emails or discussion board posts. This feature is most popular with online and hybrid classes and is also effective with face to face classes that rely extensively on BlazeVIEW or GoVIEW.
