Online Viewing

• Book chapters are in PDF format.
  • Can be read in the browser using the Adobe reader or other PDF reader plugin.
  • Chapters may also be downloaded and printed.

Downloading and Printing

• Can only download or print a chapter at a time.  
  • Oxford Scholarship Online does not intend for entire books to be downloaded and printed.
  • The Oxford Scholarship Online privacy policy and legal notice explains how downloaded material maybe accessed and used, under the heading Subscribers.
  •  Particular titles may have further download or print restrictions, found on the individual pages of that particular book.

Oxford E-books as Course Reserve Materials 

• Faculty are encouraged to assign Oxford e-books as textbooks for their courses. 
• There are no limits to the number of VSU students that can use Oxford e-books. 
• Persistent links to e-books and e-book chapters to be viewed and read can be embedded in in BlazeVIEW (D2L) or other online course materials using the DOI provided in University Press Scholarship Online. 

Emailing

• You can email a persistent link to a book or chapter to yourself or share with others in the VSU community.  

Mobile

• Downloaded PDFs of book chapters can be read on devices that support PDFs, i.e. compatible with: Android®, Kindle®, Nook®, iPad®, iPhone, iPod Touch®, Bluefire Reader app.
  •  Using the iBooks app, one may read PDFs on an iPad®, iPhone® and other Apple® devices by following these directions:http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4227. 
  •  The Adobe Reader app is freely available on the Android® Apps site.
