Like many academic e-books, access can vary through eBooks on EBSCOhost. Some titles may allow multiple people to access at one time, whereas others might be restricted to one. In addition, the amount of material that can copied or printed can vary as well. 

Each title will list this relevant information on the record page under Publisher Permissions and Concurrent User Level.

An account is not required to read titles online.

To Create a My EBSCOhost Account

From any EBSCOhost database or the Advanced Search in Discover:

  • Click on Sign In

  • Click on Create a new Account
  • Complete the fields on the Create a New Account screen and then click the “Save Changes” button.  If all the information is accepted, a message displays informing you that your account has been created.
  • Click Continue to complete the account creation and log in to your account.  When you are  logged in your first name will appear above Sign Out on the top blue bar.


Downloading E-books from EBSCOhost

Downloading to Desktop or Laptop 


  • Will require a My EBSCOhost account
  • Will require Adobe Digital Editions
  • Click download this eBook 
    • It will prompt you to log into your account
    • Select your checkout period 
      • Books will be returned automatically 
    • Click Checkout & Download


Downloading to a Mobile Device


  • Will now require Bluefire Reader app
    • (EBSCO eBooks app was retired on May 25, 2018)
  • Will require an  Adobe ID 
  • Will require the GALILEO password 
  • Will require an My EBSCOhost account
