Visitors: Computers and Technology

Visitors, such as alumni and community patrons, can visit Odum library and access our collection during our available hours. Learn more about what is available to visitors in this guide.

Computers and Technology Available to Visitors

Computers 

Odum Library has two public computers available for visitor use on a first-come, first-served basis. Login instructions will be provided at the public computers.

These computers allow access to the library's online catalog, GALILEO, Valdosta State University websites, and government websites. Visitors may also use these computers to access all databases subscribed to by Odum Library. Library users are required to adhere to library and campus policies (including Information Technology policies), as well as federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Violations will be reported to the University Police for further action. 

 

 

Microfilm Machine

Visitors are also able to use the Microfilm Machine located on the first floor of the library. Visit the How to Use the ScanPro 3000 Guide for information on where the microfilm machine is located and how to use it. 

 

Public Computer Location

The public computers are located on the wall behind the Reference Desk on the second floor of Odum Library.

Guest WiFi

To use Valdosta State University's wireless network (VSU-WiFi) as a visitor, you will need to create a guest account. Please see the IT's How To page or visit the Help Desk for information on how to log in to VSU-Guests Wifi. 

Printing

Please note: Printing is reserved for students, faculty, and staff of Valdosta State University. Visitors cannot use the printers for printing, copying, or scanning. 

 

If you need to print, we suggest the Willis L. Miller Public Library or the UPS store.
