Domain searching

1. Go to Google.com.

2. Type site:[domain] to limit to .edu, .gov, or .org, without a space between site: and the domain. fFor example:  site:.gov chemistry jobs will draw a list of government sites about and lists of job opportunities in chemistry. 

Site searching

1. Go to Google.com.

2. Type site:[url of site] to limit a search to that website, without a space between site: and the URL, and then the search term you want to look for. For example, site:acs.org jobs will result in job information on the American Chemical Society website.
