Correctly citing your sources is important in any project or paper when you gather information from other authors. If the idea you are writing in your paper did not originate in your mind you need to cite the source. Failure to correctly cite the source of your information is plagairism.
The library has many resources avialable for students to assist with correctly citing sources in the body of your paper as well as in the bibliography. The reference desk houses copies of the different style guides and the reference librarians are always willing to help with questions about citations.
