Like many academic e-books, access can vary through eBooks on EBSCOhost. Some titles may allow multiple people to access at one time, whereas others might be restricted to one. In addition, the amount of material that can copied or printed can vary as well. 

Each title will list this relevant information on the record page under Publisher Permissions and Concurrent User Level.

An account is not required to read titles online.

To Create a My EBSCOhost Account

From any EBSCOhost database or the Advanced Search in Discover:

  • Click on Sign In

  • Use your MyVsu email and password
  • Read the privacy statement and respond accordingly.

 

Downloading E-books from EBSCOhost

Downloading to Desktop or Laptop 

 

  • Will require a My EBSCOhost account
  • Will require Adobe Digital Editions
  • Click download this eBook 
    • It will prompt you to log into your account
    • Select your checkout period 
      • Books will be returned automatically 
    • Click Checkout & Download

 

Downloading to a Mobile Device

 

  • Suggested using the EBSCO Mobile App to read eBooks on mobile devices
  • Will require an EBSCO account
  • After downloading the app, select Valdosta State University as your institution and sign in with your MyVSU login information.

 

The EBSCO website has tutorials and a Quick Start Guide on using the app.
